Welcome! Thanks for stopping by!

I am a Chicago (suburb) native who recently graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Indiana University-Bloomington. I hope to continue to share my love of performing with the world as often and as long as I can.

In addition to acting, I work as a freelance musician/crooner for events, weddings, and performances. I discovered Frank Sinatra as a youngster and I have been listening to him (and a variety of others) ever since. If you are interested in hearing any of my work, please head over to my Musician or Videos tab and feel free to reach out about booking inquiries!

When I am not performing, I am usually bike riding, being an active Nintendo fanboy, working on health and fitness, or creating a new song to share with the world. Thank you for visiting and I hope you stay a while!

“Dow is one of those extremely talented actors whom you never forget.”

-Rochelle Arnold, River Cities’ Reader

“Ben Dow’s portrayal of lyricist, keyboardist, and Four Season founding member Bob Gaudio is another standout. With an unfathomably smooth tone and a pinpoint acting portrayal of the shy, awkward young Gaudio, Dow is a crucial piece that makes up the show.”

-Shelley Dean, BroadwayWorld Seattle

“Meanwhile, I could listen to Ben Dow’s melodic voice all day long as he portrayed The Padre with such finesse and style, acting with his entire face and roaming eyes.”

-Rochelle Arnold, River Cities’ Reader

Dial M For Murder at Drury Lane Theatre

From August 12th to September 9th, I had the unique opportunity to assistant direct Dial M For Murder at The Drury Lane Theatre in Oak Brook alongside the brilliant Adam Immerwahr and some of the most brilliant artists in the city of Chicago. This was my first time seeing how a show of this caliber is put together and it was incredibly rewarding. In this process, I was able to meet a new group of extraordinary human beings, and develop new skills that I hope to carry with me both as a performer and the next time I have the chance to be behind the table. I am so grateful to the lovely folk at the Drury Lane and Adam Immerwahr for having me along for the ride and giving me the opportunity to continue to grow as an artist though a different medium.
